I'm a Filipino software engineer based in Osaka, building native apps for iOS and Android.
About
I grew up in the Philippines, studied IT at the University of Santo Tomas, and have been building mobile apps since 2019, starting in Manila. In 2022 I moved to Japan to study Japanese in Osaka, worked in Nagoya for a while, then came back to Osaka, where I've been since 2023.
Outside work I keep a simple, deliberate week: the gym, cooking at home, and days off somewhere I haven't been, sometimes with friends, sometimes solo. I like meeting people from other parts of the world, and I'm usually in the middle of learning something. Mostly I'm just trying to do good work and see as much of the world as I can along the way.

Work
2023 – now
Tokyo
Native iOS and Android development for Spacely's spatial-data platform, which real estate teams use to capture, manage, and edit 360° VR content of buildings. Currently focused on iOS. On Android, I migrated legacy Epoxy and XML views to Jetpack Compose and built media features like 360° video playback for the Spacely Photo Task app.

2022 – 2023
Nagoya, on-site at Toyota
Full-stack work on Freedom, Toyota's autonomous robotics platform, at the Kamigo Plant. Across four parallel projects, I was the frontend developer for two of its web systems, built the Freedom Push app that showed live robot status on Android, wrote Python and Flask APIs with JWT auth, and worked on migrating the Android codebase to MVVM and Clean Architecture.

Native Android mobile banking apps for Philippine banks including LANDBANK, Overseas Filipino Bank, and RCBC. I built reusable Kotlin network layers, converted a legacy Java project to Kotlin, reviewed peer code, and supported releases to the Play Store.
